Introduced in 2008, the biggest truck in the world is the Bucyrus MT 6300AC. It is an off-highway, ultra class, two-axle, diesel/AC electric powertrain haul truck designed and manufactured by Bucyrus International Inc. in the United States. It has the highest payload capacities in the world, up to 400 short tons or 363 tons. It trumps its competitors in all fields of measurement, except length, where it falls short of Komatsu 930E-4 but by only 1 inch.

The Terex MT 6300AC was only recently introduced at the 2008 MinEXPO, an annual event for the mining industry. The truck had been tested in the tar sands in Canada. Now this truck is re-branded on february 2010 as the Bucyrus MT6300AC from Terex MT 6300AC. It is done after Bucyrus International Inc. acquired the mining equipment division of Terex Corporation. The model is currently being used in Australian mines.

On July 8, 2011, Bucyrus became a division of Caterpillar. The Bucyrus AC line became known as Caterpillar's UnitRig line.

Founded as Bucyrus Foundry and Manufacturing Company in Bucyrus, Ohio, in 1880, Bucyrus-Erie was an American surface and underground mining equipment company.
